In 1930, an elevated train track was built down the west side of Manhattan connecting directly to the factories. After 25 years of negotiations, a section of The High Line from West 20th street in Chelsea to Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District has reopened as a public park. It is filled with wild flowers that change with the season, baked goods from local bakeries and benches perfect for enjoying coffee with friends. There is an entrance directly across the street from Milk Studios, where a number of this year's hippest shows are taking place, making it the perfect spot to scope out who is coming and going and the most fashionable place to take a break from the chaos we all love called Fashion Week.
