NARS cosmetics was backstage for Derek Lam and so was COLOR. Lots of it! Carnival colors on eyes in purple, orange, blue and green shadows layered together and blended back into the temple. On cheeks, another layering effect was achieved with bright pink applied onto apples of cheeks and then with orange blush used to contour. Finally, as if all this color wasn't enough, lips were done in a mixture of red and fuchsia. Looks like bright color is back for spring 2010!
Tom Pecheux, the lead makeup artist for this show, said, "This look is made to inspire women to play with color. Try to bring a touch of this trend into your everyday makeup. Maybe it's a bright liner under the bottom lashes or layering a brighter shade of lip gloss over your favorite lipstick."
And if this bright, beautiful makeup wasn't enough, backstage on hair was Orlando Pita with T3. He gave the girls a more edgy look with an almost sexy, messy mohawk using Elevate Spray, a Bespoke Blow Dryer and a few bobby pins.
