Hair Crazed

After cutting my hair short last winter, I have been dreaming about getting it back
to the long luscious length it used to be. Short hair was perfect for summer
but now I am growing it back out again. My homecoming dance is this saturday
and lately I have been browsing blogs and pinterest to find some cute new
hairstyles that may match my dress! Long hair is still trending! Look at all
the cute looks the length can get you:

Ombre:

This
look was very popular with my friends this summer. They would die the ends of
their hair a bright color and let it fade but because fall is in full swing a
darker color than your original hair color is back again.

 

Braiding:

A
cute way to show off your length, braiding can turn any casual look into a
flirty date look! There are too many types of braiding to give instructions.
Pinterest has an array of many different cute braided looks! I am thinking
about braiding for my homecoming hairstyle. Tell me what you think on the facebook

Soft
waves:

This
is an elegant way to show off your healthy hair for a dance or even just a
dressy day at school. Use a 1.5” curling iron and wrap your hair around the
barrel, hold for ten seconds, and release, letting the hot curl rest in your
hand so that it keeps its shape for longer!

All
these hairstyles are fun for fall and for any upcoming formal events. I can’t
wait to see which one I pick!

T-Swift

In honor of her new album Red releasing in four days, I thought I would show you a glimpse at the lovely Taylor Swift's style! Taylor Swift is a fashion icon to millions of girls in the world. However, Taylor is an excellent example of a humble young women as well! It seems like she has it all! Her street style is a mix of girly and retro. Oxfords seem to grace her feet in every picture along with a satchel and her famous Ray Ban shades.

What I Have Been Wearing

I have been spending a lot of my time writing about how other's are dressing for fall, so I figured, why not show all of you how I dress for fall! It is my favorite season, and as the weather cools down over here in Cali, I can finally throw together some of my favorite looks of the season.

First Look:

Plaid is always fun for fall but I layered on a navy crew neck sweater to compliment the yellow in the shirt. For accessories, I wore my new statement necklace (made of rhinestone daisies, how cute?) and my favorite stud earrings. I also pegged my jeans to show off my new ankle booties. This is one of my favorite looks for fall!

 

Color is fun for fall as well. The fire skinnies, which I have in five different colors, can brighten any outfit for the season. I chose my mustard yellow skinnies with a classic navy striped t-shirt paired with my denim vest for a polished simple outfit perfect for school. I chose to not accessorize this look because the color and stripes bring enough personality to the outfit

Neck Attire

Let's spend some time focusing on our neck fashion! Weird huh? Well, if you think about it, what we wear around our necks can make or break an outfit. For fall, I love statement necklaces and scarves. Here are some of the cutest ones out there this season.

Statement Necklaces:

I love this look. Taking a plain t-shirt and jeans from boring to runway chic fast, these necklaces have made an impact on the fashion world this season yet again!

Scarves:

Fabulous for any fall day, scarves keep you warm and cozy. Scarves can also tie any outfit together! My favorite ones are the neutral one colored cable knit scarves.

Scarves are a great way to neutralize an outfit. If you have a pattern on bottom and a bold color on top, throw on a beige scarf to bring in an equalizer. A simple scarf can transform any outfit. I picked all neutral scarves because they are my favorite for fall, but there are tons of other styles too!

Next time you are in a rush, throw on your comfiest outfit and brighten it up with a scarf or a statement necklace. Watch the transformation from boring to glam right before your eyes! Til next time,

Girly Grunge

Street style alert! Girls are taking fashion to whole new heights in NY and my highschool! Say goodbye to lace minies with matching glitter flats. Girly has become grunge for this fall season. Check out some of these fall street fashion pictures to get a better look at the new style, girly grunge, rocking the halls.

This look is all about mixing your florals with denim and leather, keeping your circle skirts for colder days where you can rock them with shredded tights and pairing your favorite lace sundress with a fun studded scarf. Halloween!

Even if you do not celebrate Halloween, it can still be fun to look at all the costumes and candy! Each year, my mom helped me create a character from clothes I already had in my closet. I thought I could take some simple costume ideas for you guys and show you how to get them with pieces from BP.

From candy corn to carmel cakes, Halloween is a sweet toothes fantasy. To celebrate the sweet, dress up as a fairy! Sugarplum anyone?

Find a whimsical skirt, whether you pick a high low or maxi is up to you, a solid color tank and a pair of embellished flats

Don't forget to pick up a pair of wings from a local dollar store. I was a fairy for Halloween a couple years back. I wore bright running shorts under a tutu with a white tights and embellished wings. We painted our faces with glitter on top of the makeup we had on our eyes. It was a magical night!

Marilyn Monroe

Feeling more daring? Paint a beauty mark on your cheek and rock the ever so famous red lips to portray lady Marilyn for a night.

For this look, pick a simple black dress that accentuates your hourglass figure.

With some bouncy curls, you will be channeling old Hollywood all night!

Cat

This is a classic costume that is always fun and flirty. Take it from little girl to sophisticated teen with these simple tricks.

Take a feline patterned top paired with some liquid leggings to find your inner kitty. To top it all off, throw on a meow worthy headband and some simple black flats.

Paint some whiskers on your face and you are good to go! How fabulous!

Anything is easy to make out of nothing. Just be creative!

Something I can blog about a million times and not become bored of it is Sweater Weather. Fall means sweaters, boots, socks, scarves, tea, rain, and so many more warm cozy things. So I figured I would begin with my favorite fall fashion item, the classic sweater!

As I browsed through online shops today, I noticed that sweaters are being taken to a whole other level! Sparkles, pictures, buttons, you name it; it is on a sweater somewhere! Crazy right? Take a look at Fall's craziest new sweater designs!

Toms: Where Did They Take Me?

Tom's is the most inspirational company that I have ever come across. In just a short summary of their message, they strive to bring shoes to unfortunate children and adults in underprivileged countries. For every pair purchased, Tom's provides a pair to a child in need. The least we can do is purchase a pair of these shoes! And they make it so easy to do so by creating so many cute designs!

I came upon the Tom's booty in heather grey recently. They are to die for! I absolutely adore them with a simple black skinny. Toms have taken me many places. Make what you do in your Tom's count! I packed up a paper bag of goodies to bring to the local food bank in my town!

First I started with a check list of various canned goods and long shelf life items:

I continued packing items until the bag was full and then I was good to go!

When I was all done, I made sure I snapped a few pics of my amazingly cute new booties! Tom's never ceases to amaze me with their wonderful styles and colors.

I took the bag over to Harvest food bank along with a few other items but I left my camera at home! Mistakes happen, am I right? Packing these goods into the back of my car and leaving them at the shelter made me realize all at once the amazing opportunities I have been blessed with in this life. I forget to take each simple aspect of my life into consideration from day to day. Just being able to pick from a few pair of flip flops is a choice that not everyone can make. Reaching into my fridge and picking out a few things for lunch is a luxury as well! Tom's opened my eyes this summer as I spent time researching their company and checking out the new branches of the company such as their eyewear line. I have been getting a group of friends to collect the water bottles at my school from trash cans to put in recycle bins for money that goes towards purchasing books and supplies for my school district. Simple ideas can turn into amazing solutions. Try it out!

Fashion Week to Homecoming

Neutral Embellishment

A look I have seen a lot of after searching through snap shots of the runway looks.

This look was definitely popular on the runway this year! Like the look? BP has some hot homecoming dresses following this trend exactly!

Modern with a Twist

This look is difficult to explain. On the runway this week, I recognized a few very traditional styled dresses with some new modern twists. For example, a floor length gown with a cut out. If you want to be original, check this look out!
