Although it's been unusually warm the past few days on the East coast, I know that the cold weather is going to be making it's arrival any day now. Although I'm not the biggest fan of cold weather, I am looking forward to adding even more layers to my looks!
Outerwear is a cold weather must. Here are a few of my favorite outerwear pieces from BP!
Gloves, hats and scarves are just as much of an accessory as earrings, necklaces and bracelets, so I'm starting to shop for all of these winter accessories now!
Boots are another fall, winter and maybe even year long necessity. I have been expanding my horizons this fall and trying some new styles, like studded combat boots! Riding boots are my favorites!
Here are a few cozy, cold weather outfits that I'm loving!
How to you plan on keeping warm and staying stylish this winter?

After cutting my hair short last winter, I have been dreaming about getting it back
to the long luscious length it used to be. Short hair was perfect for summer
but now I am growing it back out again. My homecoming dance is this saturday
and lately I have been browsing blogs and pinterest to find some cute new
hairstyles that may match my dress! Long hair is still trending! Look at all
the cute looks the length can get you:
Ombre:
This
look was very popular with my friends this summer. They would die the ends of
their hair a bright color and let it fade but because fall is in full swing a
darker color than your original hair color is back again.
Braiding:
A
cute way to show off your length, braiding can turn any casual look into a
flirty date look! There are too many types of braiding to give instructions.
Pinterest has an array of many different cute braided looks! I am thinking
about braiding for my homecoming hairstyle. Tell me what you think on the facebook
page!
Soft
waves:
This
is an elegant way to show off your healthy hair for a dance or even just a
dressy day at school. Use a 1.5” curling iron and wrap your hair around the
barrel, hold for ten seconds, and release, letting the hot curl rest in your
hand so that it keeps its shape for longer!
All
these hairstyles are fun for fall and for any upcoming formal events. I can’t
wait to see which one I pick!
Here are some hair accessories for you!

I have a white headband with a rose on the top that keeps my ears warm on all the cold nights in Cali! Cute right? Til next time!

Imagine you're a trendy British girl walking the streets of London. Imagine passing Big Ben, the London Bridge, the royal palace, and double-decker buses...
Enter Topshop, the go-to store in Britain filled with tons of up-to-the minute, unique pieces...
Now, imagine having these incredible clothes in the United States. Although it would be nice to walk the streets of London, you don't have to in order to wear Topshop. Thank you Nordstrom for making this happen! As many of you probably already know, Nordstrom has recently partnered with Topshop enabling all of us to be just as trendy as those British girls, oh and boys too (Topman)...
Now I know this is outside of the realm of BP, but it is too big of news at Nordstrom to simply ignore. I have always heard amazing things about Topshop but never really got the chance to explore it. I like being able to try things on and to not have to ship something I want from out of the country. With new stock in every week in 14 Nordstrom stores and online, I know this won't be a problem anymore!
The thing I love about Topshop is that they have all of these unique, quirky, and vintage-looking pieces that you can't find many other places. Picture clear tights with an aztec stripe down the side, an ombre scarf, a studded belt pouch, a faux fur collar, and a metallic jacquard miniskirt. Still not convinced? All of the pieces I have featured in this post are $50 or less. Take a look...
I absolutely love their tees whether they are graphic, tie-dye, or even simply say "Geek" on them (hey, could be a simple solution for a Halloween costume right?). To me, the typical Topshop girl screams hip, and these tees just add to their effortless style. Here are a few of my favorites..
As Meredith previously mentioned in one of her posts, crosses on merchandise are becoming increasingly popular. In fact, my most favorite Vogue cover of all time was Anna Wintour's first as editor, and it featured a studded cross on a sweater (that's "jumper" in Britain). Well anyways, Topshop definitely has you covered on that one..
Shop Topshop at Nordstrom here:
Till Friday...
XOXO,
Ashley

Happy Monday! I've been really busy recently with all of my school work. Study breaks are often necessary and my study breaks have included some online shopping! Looking at all of BP's new online merchandise has made me want to go on a serious shopping spree. There is so much that I want and I am falling in love with everything!
The new accessory arrivals are so unique and cute! These are a few of my favorites…
This scarf looks so comfy and I love the leopard and lace combination!
This watch would be the perfect piece of arm candy. The rose gold is my favorite!
This lulu crossbody bag in pink is my favorite, but the pearlized ivory bag is just as cute!
This headband and this tiara are my favorites! The tiara could top off a princess halloween costume or you could wear it anytime that you are looking for your prince...
I've added each of these next items to my shopping cart in at least one color...
This bow blouse is so girly and adorable, it perfectly fits the "Luxe Be a Lady" trend.
I love how feminine and effortless this black and white lace top is!
If you have a more formal event coming up, this striped dress would be perfect!
I want to cuddle up in this airy oversized sweater and sip on hot chocolate...
These tie dye jeans are so unique! I would dress them up with pumps and a sequin tank, blazer and accessories.
I want these classic collegiate TOMS for going to class, these boots for going to dinner and these spiked toe pumps for a night out!

When I first started seeing illustrations of furry animals on sweaters, I have to admit I was a little hesitant. Now, however, I think they are adorable! They're such a fun twist on a classic animal print, and not to mention a great way to sport the New Frontier trend that is popular this Fall.
It's a quirky and unique look that you can easily make your own! Play it down or let the piece you choose shine all on it's own.
Not only are these sweaters eye-catching, but they also seem to be super cozy! I love the idea of pairing them with shorts and tights.
A bunch of smaller animals on a top is just as trendy! My personal favorite are the horses.
BP just got this chic new Frenchi 'Fox Stole' sweater in! Would you try it?
XOXO,
Ashley

If you haven't heard of Anna Dello Russo, now is the perfect time to meet her! She is the current Editor at Large and Creative Consultant for Vogue Japan. She makes a statement whether she is running to the grocery store or running a fashion empire. Anna Dello Russo is an inspiration and I look up to her for her risky fashion choices and bold, unique looks.
Here are a few fabulous ADR pictures and quotes! Prepare to be inspired…
"Fashion is such stuff as dreams are made on…"
"I don't have any daywear because it's a waste of time for me."
"Fashion is everywhere. Everywhere! Flowers are fashion to me, the sky is fashion, my garden is fashion. My darling, the Sistine Chapel is fashion."
"I don't want to be cool. I want to be fashion."
"Accessorize me, color me, shock me!"
What do you think of all of Anna's headpieces? I absolutely love them!
Check out the blog from Anna herself!
I hope that you feel inspired to take risks, to wear what makes you smile and to be fearless in all of your fashion and life choices. Remember that as long as you are happy and confident, nothing else matters!
Stay fearless,
Meredith
In honor of her new album Red releasing in four days, I thought I would show you a glimpse at the lovely Taylor Swift's style! Taylor Swift is a fashion icon to millions of girls in the world. However, Taylor is an excellent example of a humble young women as well! It seems like she has it all! Her street style is a mix of girly and retro. Oxfords seem to grace her feet in every picture along with a satchel and her famous Ray Ban shades.
Here are some looks in BP inspired by Taylor!

Not only is her street style a source of fashion inspiration, but her red carpet looks top the chart. She seems to always exemplify old Hollywood while still making her looks young with a fun shoe or dramatic eye. Perfect Winterformal guide!

Taylor is a great inspiration for BP girls. She embodies so many of the trends that BP carries in their department while still looking unique and embracing her quirky individualism. Til next time

I have grown up watching "the Upper East Side elite" on the CW's show, Gossip Girl, in high school. I must admit, not only is the high-paced drama is exciting to watch, the impeccable style of each of the character's has also been a huge component of my loyal following throughout the years. My two favorite characters of all of television, Serena Van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf, have been great inspiration to me as I have tried to find my own unique style in the fashion world.
Blair's preppy, pristine, and put-together looks have taught me the true definition of class while Serena's more calm, cool, and collected looks have taught me the essence of being effortlessly chic.
The last season debuted two Monday's ago, and the outfits have already caught my eye. Take a look at some of my favorites so far..
After doing some digging, I think the season is definitely one to look forward to! After all, who is Gossip Girl if not someone to go out with a bang..
And of course, our favorite boys won't disappoint either..
XOXO,
Ashley

Along with the colder temperatures comes the return of one of my favorite accessories, tights! Tights have been taken to new levels in the past few seasons with unique and fun styles, colors and prints.
Not only do tights keep you warm in chilly weather, but they can also easily pull a look together or add the perfect finishing touch to an outfit. My favorite pairs of tights are the most unique ones! I love out of the box ideas for tights like the letters of the alphabet, ombre, hearts and so much more!
These are a few of my favorite styles of tights...
Colored tights always brighten my day and are the perfect way to get your pop-of-color in.
Patterned, colorful tights are my go-to for simple neutral colored outfits. Just be prepared to turn some heads!
Add some different textures to an outfit with knit or studded tights!
Lace tights have always been a favorite of mine. I love going for a completely feminine, girly look with lace tights and a simple dress.
Classic black tights are a must-have. I also think that tights in simple patterns, like polka-dots, should also be wardrobe necessities.
Out-of-the-box, quirky tights that make you take a second look are so much fun. Would you be daring enough to try out these show-stopping tights?
I have already begun to accessorize my daily outfits with tights. My favorite pair of tights has a stripe of silver glitter on the back. Which styles of tights are you most excited about wearing this fall and winter?
Check out all of the adorable tights available in BP!
Have a great week!
Stay colorful,
Meredith
