My Kind of Town

Hello Fashionistas!

I am currently in Chicago visiting family. Monday and Tuesday I was fortunate enough to be able to go into the city and experience a lot of fun things...

 

    The first night we were in town, however, we went to see all of our relatives. My sister and I both opted for white skinny jeans and patterned tops. We wore these outfits because the jeans and light material of the tops balanced each other out, perfect for a cool summer night. Plus, you can never go wrong with white jeans! 

    For our first day in the city, we knew it was going to be extremely hot so we had to dress accordingly. Shorts and tees/tanks were are go-to's. I loved the pretty color of my sister's turquoise blouse that resembled the color of the lake. My cousin went preppy with some seersucker shorts and a white tank. Finally, I was representing BP in my orange and white top with my white tank underneath and a statement necklace to top it off. From Navy Pier to Michigan Avenue, we had a blast!

    That night, we went for the denim again as we headed to a Mexican restaurant. Even though it was a hot day, Chicago is still the windy city, and we could definitely feel it that night. I decided to step it up with my shoes and went with some gold wedges that complemented the gold zippers on my olive skinnies. I love the color combination my sister chose--mango skinnies with a white lace blouse. Also, I absolutely loved my cousin's white flared jeans! I like the idea of a flared pant when dressing up a little at night.

Of course, we had to stop at our favorite store :)

 

The next day we spent riding segways so we had to dress more comfy than chic. I wore my floral, flowy shorts from BP with a neon tee while my sister wore a Life is Good tee with her navy shorts. It was such a great way to see the city!

 

I loved seeing my family, going shopping, and flaunting my favorite clothes all over Chicago!
