Watching all the equestrian events in the Olympics and reading Teen Vogue's latest issue has made me excited to start sporting equestrian-inspired outfits this fall! The key pieces include leggings/jeggings, collared blouses, blazers/tailored jackets, and knee-high boots. Equestrian chic looks take preppy to a whole other level, and you don't have to be a horseback rider to pull them off this season!

Now take away the gloves, the helmet, and yes even the horse to get a look that's perfect for preppy street style this fall!
Think the blazer is still too much? Try a knit sweater over a collared blouse for a look that's a bit more casual.

I tried out the trend myself! Wearing my new black hue microsuede leggings (a super comfy Anniversary steal), white collared shirt, cream collarless blazer, and tall brown boots, I felt ready to have a horse by my side. My dog was happy to fill in though..
Then, to switch it up, I put on my charcoal short-sleeved sweater. I love how this outfit also embodies the layering trend which is going to be popular again in the fall!
