Shopping Made Simple
Now that I am finally finished with high school, I have plenty of time to shop until I drop! Today, I was shopping for a dress for an upcoming dance. I have already purchased my shoes for the dance, so I had the challenge of matching the dress to the shoes... These are a few of my shopping tips which I have learned through lots and lots of experience.
Shop with a purpose. It is easy to get distracted by all of the pretty things while shopping.
Fully analyze the store and its selection. I often find myself having to get back in line after seeing a top or a skirt that I just have to have on my way out of a store. This wastes precious shopping time.
Be efficient. Shop with a system, begin looking on one side of the store and work your way to the other side.
Be prepared. Make sure that you are dressed in shoes that you can comfortably walk long distances in and if you are shopping in an outdoor environment, dress appropriately for the weather. Take a shopping break at a Nordstrom Cafe to grab a coffee or snack to refuel yourself and to prepare for more shopping.
Only buy things that you know that you will wear or that you would regret not buying. Remember to try things on! You could love something on a mannequin but hate it on yourself.
Most importantly, have fun! To me, shopping is something that I either do on my own to relax or with a friend or two to laugh and catch up on the latest gossip. Shopping is an experience that should be all about you, the trends that you like, the items that you are looking for and the new additions that are added to your wardrobe. You have the ability to make your shopping experience as fun as you want it to be!
My shopping trip today turned out to be a success. I enjoyed a fun girls day out and I found the dress that I will be wearing to the dance on Thursday!
