Arrivederci Italia
I just got back from Italy yesterday, and I had an amazing time! I've returned with many great memories and new knowledge on Italian art and culture.
Each day I was there, I planned my outfit depending on what our group was doing and, of course, the weather. We ended up having beautiful, rain-free days the whole trip, but that also meant hot sun shining down on us. Because we were constantly walking, it was also important to be comfortable.
The first day, we arrived in Rome early in the morning. I was up for forty-eight hours so I decided to go for a fedora and sunglasses to cover up messy hair and tired eyes! As for my outfit, I wore a striped, sleeveless top and jean shorts with lace detailing on the bottom. Gladiator sandals completed my look. Two of my best friends who went with me also wore jean shorts. One paired hers with a fringed tee and the other with a lace, one-shoulder tank.
The next day, I wanted to try a hipster look as we visited the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Blue and white frayed jean shorts, a red cold-shoulder tee, and my gladiator sandals fit just the outfit I was looking for! To further style my outfit, I added a belt and necklace and tied the bottom of my tee in a knot to the side.
My favorite outfits were worn the day we went to Pompeii and Herculaneum. I wore a black and white striped dress, fedora, and black bejeweled sandals. I wore my hair in braids and added red lipstick later on to transform my outfit from day to night. One of my friends wore a light blue and pink sundress. She completed her look by putting her hair up in a high pony and wearing pink lipstick. My other friend wore a fashionable lace dress, fedora, and red lipstick.
One of the days, we went to the quaint and beautiful resort town of Desenzano. I opted for a simple, pretty sundress. I especially loved my friend's outfit though! Her white maxi skirt, patterned tube top, and fedora looked great together.
Check out some of my other highlights and outfits from the trip...
XOXO,
Ashley
